Statistical Programmer Intern

Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Statistical Programmer Intern for the summer. The intern will assist in developing, validating, and maintaining statistical programs to support clinical trial data analysis and survival analysis (e.g., CDISC SDTM and ADaM). This role provides hands-on experience working with real-world clinical data, SAS programming, and exposure to industry standards in statistical computing and regulatory submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing and validating SAS programs to generate tables, listings, and figures (TFLs) for clinical trial reports.
  • Support the creation and review of SDTM and ADaM datasets in compliance with CDISC standards.
  • Participate in data cleaning, exploratory analyses, survival analysis, and quality control of deliverables.
  • Collaborate with biostatisticians and data managers to understand study protocols and data requirements.
  • Document programming procedures and results following good statistical programming practices.
  • Contribute to ongoing efforts to improve workflow efficiency and data reproducibility.
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Coursework or experience in clinical trials, epidemiology, or health data analytics preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAS required; experience with R or Python a plus.
  • Familiarity with CDISC SDTM/ADaM standards is a plus but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
